5.0 out of 5 stars Really awesome story to me November 30, 2012

I'm not into series and I was hoping this wasn't going to be one, but it sounds like it is. I still really liked the story though. and I will probably read the next one if there is one. It is similar to the Twilight series but Ms. Dean made it her own. Instead of Vampires, they are immortals. I liked the heroine Emma because she wasn't a wilting flower. She was likeable and loyal. She loved her older brother Sean very much. He's very protective of her and really does not want her to see Liam. He doesn't give a real reason why he doesn't want her to see Liam, which makes it strange. Liam was a great guy. He appears and disappears out of nowhere around Emma. He's mysterious and vulnerable at the same time. It was easy to figure out who Grace (Liam's sister) soulmate was during the story. Everyone is secretive and Emma doesn't stop at anything to figure out what the real story is.

I stumbled upon this book while browsing through amazon and am oh so glad that I did. In a post-Twilight world, it's hard to find things that are as fulfilling. Fortunately for me, Jennifer Dean came up with the genius idea of penning this paranormal romance of unrequitable love, fantasy and high paced suspense. From beginning to end, I was just glued to this book. That rarely happens to me! But it happened! The story, while not breaking any new ground, still manages to absorb you into a story that will just leave you as breathless as I am now, thirsting for the next book!
