AUTHOR BIO

'Master of the Financial Thriller', 'the King of Pace and Plot' are just some of the honorific nicknames given to Peter Wilben by his reviewers over the years.
With a distinguished career spanning over thirty years, Peter is best known for his Joe Grace thrillers, originally a paperback series, now exclusively available online.

The books are set in the ruthless world of high finance, and as a former trader, who worked on Wall Street in its heyday, it is Peter's insider knowledge that makes him the master of the financial thriller.

In 1982 while on holidays in Antigua Peter's briefcase was stolen. He spent the next 14 days locked in his room, writing the first 25,000 words of a thriller about a man who goes on holidays, has his briefcase stolen and stumbles on a plot by terrorists to assassinate the Queen at the Epsom Derby. A few months later, Peter was offered a publishing contract. He has been a full-time writer ever since.

Peter lives in County Kildare, Ireland, with his wife, Carol, a Jungian psychoanalyst, with whom he has six children.

REVIEWS
5.0 out of 5 stars Action, adventure, suspense... great fun. April 24, 2013

Wilben has written an excellent book, this is reminiscent of the DaVinci code with all the conspiracies, everything from nuclear secrets to Nazis, Jews, and so much more. Even if you know nothing of his series, this book stands on its own as an enjoyable work. I like the adventures Joe Grace goes through, as well as how he's forced to confront certain choices he has made in his life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! April 9, 2013

What else can I say about this book except fantastic?! From the very first chapter, the author, Peter Wilben, draws you into a tale of intrigue and excitement. I don't know how he does it, but the story doesn't have a slow part anywhere, it just keeps you reading for hours on end. Just when you think that you have it figured out, a new twist is entered into and the plot begins anew. One minute you are uncovering nuclear secrets, and the next you are investigating a link to Nazi Germany. It is remarkably easy to associate with the main character, Joe Grace, as he gains insight on not only the investigation, but his own life as well. I have read the other books in the Joe Grace series and, although the other's are incredible, this one is by far the author's greatest work. I am almost addicted to this book, I couldn't put it down for the life of me.

This book is THE definition of a suspense novel. I realize that I might come off as sounding biased towards Peter Wilben's writing, and I think I am a little bit, but if you are reading this review to decide whether or not to buy this book, just buy it. The good thing is that you don't have to be familiar with the Joe Grace series to follow the story line in this book, you can just download it and start the adventure. But I do recommend his other novels wholeheartedly.
