Suzan Mercer is a hot blooded soldier who has just returned from Afghanistan to find that the land her father willed her, the land she loved, a unique place on the edge of the Everglades, has been acquired by Matt Harris, a gorgeous playboy real estate developer. Suzan starts to want Matt, in more ways than one. Her passion and her fury build, fueled by a potentially sordid tale of how he acquired the land. When Matt finds out she has killed people in hand-to-hand combat his interest grows, especially when she walks right into a fundraiser he is attending and buys a night on his yacht with him! Sir Johnny has a yacht in many of his novels set in Florida, and this one lives up to his tradition. Sir Johnny's women also always have some deep hidden secret, and once again this one lives up to the reputation. As a lawyer, I found the legal analysis of the diminished capacity due to early onset Alzheimer's very interesting. If you liked any of Sir Johnny's other books, you're going to like this one. And if you've never tried one of his books, this is a great one to start with. Expect twists, turns, secrets, and peril and you won't be disappointed.
