BOOK DESCRIPTION
Adri Paige is too busy dealing with the emotional fallout from losing half of her family to deal with boys. At least she thought so until the two most intriguing guys in her new school take an interest in her.
Both boys are gorgeous and blessed with obscene amounts of money. They should have the emotional depth of note cards, but instead display undercurrents she doesn't fully understand. Rumors the pair destroys peoples' livelihoods seem ludicrous until she gets caught in the crossfire and her family almost loses their home. She's increasingly unsure either boy is really human, and their rivalry is rapidly turning deadly.
Broken is a 125,000 word YA Paranormal Romance and is a complete novel in its own right, but also represents one-half of a double novel when paired with Torn. Regardless of which book you start with, the two are designed such that you can continue on to the other in order to get answers to questions not answered in the book you started with. The series continues with Splintered.
Dean started reading seriously in the second grade due to a competition and has spent most of the subsequent three decades lost in other people's worlds. After reading several local libraries more or less dry of sci-fi and fantasy, he started spending more time wandering around worlds of his own creation to avoid the boredom of the 'real' world.
Things worsened, or improved depending on your point of view, when he first started experimenting with writing while finishing up his accounting degree. These days Dean has a wonderful wife and two lovely daughters to keep him rather more grounded, but the idea of bringing others along with him as he meets interesting new people in universes nobody else has ever seen tends to drag him back to his computer on a fairly regular basis.

This is the first book I have read frkm this author and I really loved it. I got this book free from the Amazon site and after reading it I went ahead and purchased the Torn And Splintered books. I am now about to start Splintered after reading Torn and I must say I love the series and reading from both Adri's and Alec's point of views. Very well written and I highly recommend this series. I almost hesitate about comparing it to the Twilight books because it doesn't follow the same story line or have vamps in it but the writting style is similar. I want to also point out that this is very PG for a YA book when it seems like a lot of authors now are pushing YA books very close or over into the MA arena. Nicely done and I look forward to more books from this author................5 Stars All The Way!!!!!!

I loved Broken. It was a very beautiful story and definitely brought the original story we were introduced to in Torn more to life. It erased any lingering questions and cleared up any of the fuzziness left from the first novel. I really identified with Adri and her point of view and i really wish more authors would bring in other characters point of views into their stories, it just makes everything full circle and more complete. Although, usually the second book in a series gets a lower rating than the first, Broken is actually getting higher, but only because when i read Torn i loved it, but i just felt something was missing and this was it. Very, very good series and i can't wait to read the next one!
