BOOK DESCRIPTION
When Carringby Industries, a government-contracted arms manufacturer, is raided by what appear to be terrorists, the CEO’s secretary, Belinda Reese, is rescued by Brandon Drake, a dashing young AWOL soldier. Using an experimental test aircraft, he flees with her to his remote, isolated cabin in the mountains of Aspen.

While assisting in the design of military weaponry, Brandon discovered a plot within his own government to attack its own facilities, under the guidance of immoral politician, Senator Garrison Treadwell. Belinda’s body was not found among the dead at Carringby Industries, and Treadwell suspects that Drake was responsible for rescuing her. In an effort to entrap him, Treadwell arranges for an all points bulletin to be placed on Belinda.

Deeply in love, Brandon and Belinda attempt to escape from America, only to endure one harrowing experience after another as they try to evade and expose Treadwell’s corrupt faction.

But on the run, with danger around every corner, Brandon makes a discovery so devastating that it shatters the very foundations of his reality.

REVIEWS
Three pages into Hold On by Peter Darley you forget you’re reading a novel and feel as if you are watching a TV show. Darley has created something rare in fiction: a romantic-thriller that is both heart racing and heart breaking. His lead character Brandon Drake is an enigmatic knot that only Belinda Reese and we, the lucky reader, can untangle.

The title Hold On is uttered when the main characters meet for the first time but it’s good advice for readers as well. Because once this fast-paced thrill ride starts – think the proverbial roller coaster sans safety bar and forget about the brakes – it doesn't slow down.

Darley writes with great passion and heart and I can’t wait for the sequel.

You will definitely want to have plenty of allotted reading time before starting this one. It was hard to put down. I was so engrossed in the story that I put off many of my important things to do. Peter Darley does a great job of creating a Romantic Suspense that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. I was anticipating each thing, yet surprised the whole way through. I think the Romance was believable and unfolded smoothly which is always important. I don't like when Romances seem forced, this one seemed natural. Great not only Romantic Suspense but Suspense in general.

I really loved the fact that this novel emulated its book cover. The cover screams thriller, so does the title. This one had a lot to live up to in my opinion and boy did it!Be prepared to go on a thrill ride. There are so many twists and turns and Peter Darley does an amazing job of keeping his reader on the edge of their seat. The plot flowed smoothly and quickly, I was never bored and furiously flipping pages. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed their interactions and relationships with each other. Romantic Suspense is a balancing act and I think Peter Darley nailed it!
